How to import Google Reviews into your WordPress website

In this How-to-Guide, we are going to show you how to import your Google reviews into your website.

While we recognize that there are many platforms that allow you to receive client reviews for your business, such as Google, Yelp, FaceBook, etc, and a multitude of plugins for WordPress that allow you to display your reviews on your website, in this article we will be covering Google Reviews using the Trustindex.io plugin (free version).

We use the Trustindex.io plugin for our own website, the site you are currently on, and we have setup Google reviews on many of the websites that we have built for our clients using this same plugin.

The free version of the Trustindex.io plugin offers everything you need to display client testimonials on your website, to include professional looking Google reviews (as shown in the image above), along with your overall rating average and the total count of the reviews you have received for your Google My Business account.  The only drawback to the free version, which in our humble opinion is not much of a negative, is that new reviews will not automatically be displayed on your website.  However, the free plugin offers a simple, one button click procedure that allows you to import the latest reviews so that they show up on your site.  We will cover the steps involved in this article further below.

Of course, if you want all your reviews to show up on your site automatically, without any manual interaction on your part, the Trustindex.io plugin does offer a paid version that will dynamically pull in your latest reviews as soon as they post to your Google My Business page, as well as, the ability to source additional reviews from other social sources like Facebook, Twitter, and more.

But as we mentioned earlier, we feel that the free version is appropriate for most of our clients who want to display their Google reviews on their website and we are writing this article to provide you the step-by-step process to get your latest reviews on your website.

Steps to Import your latest Google Reviews using Trustindex.io plugin

1. Login to your WordPress admin panel (ex: www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin)
2. Click Trustindex.io in the black navigation panel (on the left)
3. On the Trustindex.io settings page, click the My Reviews tab
4. Click the "Download new reviews" button
5. Verify the latest reviews imported (if you have any new ones)
6. View your website pages (where your reviews are displayed) to verify your latest reviews are appearing

That is it!  Simple as that.  Now you know how to get your latest Google reviews imported into your website so you can show off all the love that your clients have left you and help promote your business.

We hope you found this article helpful and we wish you all the best with your website and business!
